Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and payroll records.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other financial reports as required. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budgetary performance and provide analysis of variances between actual and budgeted figures. Make recommendations to improve financial performance.
• Financial Analysis: Analyse financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement. Develop financial models and forecasts to support business planning.
• Internal Controls: Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy and reliability of financial information. Identify areas of improvement and make recommendations to enhance control procedures.
• Audit Support: Coordinate and provide support during internal and external audits. Prepare audit schedules, reconcile discrepancies, and address audit findings in a timely manner.
• Financial Systems and Tools: Utilize accounting software and other financial tools effectively to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and ensure data accuracy. Provide training and support to team members on financial systems.
• Compliance and Regulations: Stay updated with accounting principles, regulations, and industry best practices. Ensure compliance with relevant financial reporting standards, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and senior management, to provide financial insights, support decision-making, and drive business growth.
