Job Description
Maintaining financial records: You will be responsible for keeping track of the company's financial transactions, including sales, purchases, and expenses. This may involve creating and updating financial statements, such as balance sheets and income statements.
Managing budgets: You will work with management to develop and monitor the company's budgets, ensuring that expenses are kept within limits and that the company stays financially healthy.
Processing payroll: You will be responsible for calculating and issuing employee paychecks, as well as processing payroll taxes and other deductions.
Handling accounts payable and accounts receivable: You will manage the company's accounts payable, ensuring that vendor invoices are paid on time and that the company is not overcharged. You will also be responsible for tracking the company's accounts receivable, following up on overdue payments and assisting with collections.
Providing financial analysis: You may be called upon to provide financial analysis and advice to management, helping them to make informed decisions about the company's operations and growth.
Compliance: You will need to ensure that the company's financial practices comply with all relevant laws and regulations. This may involve preparing and filing tax returns and other financial documents.
To be successful in this role, you should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure. You should also have a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with financial software.
