We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant to take ownership of our US accounting operations and support our UK team in London as soon as possible.
This role will be responsible for managing all accounting activities for our newly founded US entity, supporting tax filings, and acting as Deputy to our UK Senior Accountant.
The role is based in our beautiful office in central London – hybrid/remote working is a given.
Your responsibilities
Manage all accounting activities for our newly founded US entity, including general ledger, journal entries, and month-end close
Support and coordinate US tax filings in collaboration with third-party service providers
Act as the primary liaison for external accounting and tax partners in the US
Serve as Deputy to the UK Senior Accountant, stepping in during absences and supporting daily operations
Take ownership of groupwide / UK processes, for example: manage accounts payable, credit card, dunning
Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations
Your skills
2–3 years of experience working as an accountant in an international setting
Practical experience with US accounting and tax filings
Solid understanding of UK GAAP
Familiarity with SAP Business ByDesign (SAP ByD) is a strong plus
Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholder
