Job Description
Creating a climate of fiscal responsibility that will enable the company to remain fiercely competitive. The incumbent will be responsible for cost control initiatives and for creating a strong internal financial control environment.
Create and maintain an efficient and effective financial system to provide financial analysis and reporting. To oversee all operational aspects related to finance, P&L and legal aspects of the business. This person will be the custodian of the company’s balance sheet. This person will be responsible for maintaining healthy accounting ratios for the company such as current ratios, asset turnover ratio, healthy gross/net margins, debt/equity ratio etc.
Ensure statutory legal/ regulatory compliance related to Finance and Accounts (taxation/ GST/ ROC / PF/ Import Export Documentation). The legal role associated with this job includes overseeing compliance with the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013 and all other applicable statutes.
Frame financial and accounting policies/processes and promoting financial discipline in all actions/decisions of the company through creation and awareness of frameworks and ensuring adherence.
Analyze current business performance and suggest alternate business/ financial models to enhance ROI and ROCE. Provide the strategic direction to enhance financial performance.
As a part of overall cost management, he/she will draw up budgets, institute budgetary controls, drive the finance strategy and its consequent deployment.
Act as the company representative for auditors, vendors, legal/statutory authorities
Responsible for the overall accounting function: accounting practices/ polices/ processes- such as vendor payments, payroll processing, customer refunds, auditing of financial statements etc.
To motivate, guide, train and develop his/her team and integrate the finance & accounting function
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
• CA or equivalent MBA (Finance) with 10 Years of relevant experience.
• Experience in the same industry is preferable.
