Job Details
Scope of Responsibilities
Keep accurate records of financial transactions for commercial and residential properties.
Manage month-end close and generate monthly and annual Financial Reports (i.e., full day-to-day general ledger responsibilities).
Prepare Year End reports for an auditing company.
Assist with preparing Operating Budgets, Variance Explanations, and Special Project analysis.
Book year-end Journal entries as provided by accountants.
Process debt refinancing and liaise with bank contacts to establish and manage accounts.
Monitor cash position and running balances for all bank accounts (i.e., operating payables and receivables, Operating Expense Estimate, Cash Flow Forecast).
Process outbound wire transfers.
Coordinate and organize annual RPIE and Department of Finance tax filing reports.
Responsible for any other accounting functions requested by the Controller and Partners.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
5+ years of commercial real estate accounting experience.
Knowledge of Skyline is a plus but we are in the midst of converting to Yardi.
Advanced knowledge of the entire accounting cycle in Yardi Voyager is a must.
Proficiency in Excel.
Understanding property management about financial accounting, recoveries, budgeting, and forecasting.
