Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and trustworthy Accountant to manage the financial operations of our jewellery retail showroom. The candidate should be well-versed in retail accounting, particularly in the jewellery sector, with a strong understanding of inventory management, taxation (especially related to gold and precious stones), and daily financial reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate day-to-day accounts including sales, purchases, credit notes, debit notes, and stock movements.
Handle daily billing, customer invoicing, and cash/credit card/UPI reconciliations.
Monitor daily cash flow, banking transactions, and showroom petty cash.
Manage inventory valuation, including gold, diamond, silver, and other jewellery items based on purity, weight, and making charges.
Coordinate with the showroom staff to ensure accurate stock in/out records using barcode or RFID systems.
Prepare and file GST returns, TDS, and other statutory tax filings in a timely manner.
Maintain ledger accounts of customers, suppliers, karigars (artisans), and goldsmiths.
Support annual audits and ensure adherence to accounting and tax compliance norms.
Handle purchase and sales reconciliation between showroom and suppliers.
Manage gold schemes, installment plans, and track customer payments.
Assist with payroll processing, staff advances, and statutory deductions (PF/ESI where applicable).
Prepare MIS reports, financial summaries, and assist with budget planning.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
