Graue Mill Country Residences seeks an experienced professional with accounting and IT skills to provide accounting support to our thriving community. The ideal candidate will have some college level accounting coursework, one year of work experience involving accounting in a community setting, proficiency in property management/financial software and tools and good interpersonal and communication skills.
Graue Mill Country Residences is a gated, 47-acre property nestled along Salt Creek in the Village of Hinsdale Illinois. The community consists of 243 residences in a range of building styles including mid-rise units, villas, town homes, and detached single-family residences. Five separate condominium associations and an overarching homeowners association comprise the development. Graue Mill offers many amenities to owners such as a clubhouse, an outdoor heated swimming pool, park and tennis courts.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and deliver accurate financial statement packages for the five condominium associations and the HOA.
Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
Review and analyze transactions from Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payable to accuracy.
Explain any Income Statement variances and changes on the Balance Sheet.
Assist independent CPA firms in their audit.
Analyze and post end-of-year audit adjusting entries.
Assist in preparing annual budget worksheets.
Ensure vendor list in our financial system is accurate and that vendor invoices are proper and processed timely.
Assist Community Association Manager in ensure that HOA computers and systems are properly maintained and secure.
Additional assignments and duties – as may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in accounting preferred.
1 year of work experience involving accounting, preferably in a community setting.
Experience with budgeting and financial analysis.
Proficiency in property management/financial software and tools, word processing, spreadsheet, website, and email systems.
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Ability to work with sensitive or confidential information
Able to pass a background check (criminal history, employment and education verification and reference checks)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 28 per week
