Job Duties/Scope Of Work
This position functions as support to the Benefits Accounting department Subject Matter Experts (SME) for the Hanford Site Pension Plan (HSPP) and Hanford Site Savings Plan (HSSP) and performs accounting transactions, operational support, and customer service for these benefit programs.
The successful candidate will perform multiple accounting activities, including but not limited to:
• Processing Qualified Domestic Relations Orders and working with plan participants, attorneys, and internal partners through the process.
• Processing and entry of Savings Plan enrollment information and communicating with vendors and participant contractors.
• Processing HSPP plan repayments by participants.
• Assisting with the loan management of the HSSP with the SME and HMIS Payroll.
• Conducting reporting and data analysis used to invoice plan sponsors.
• Processing invoice payments for the HSSP and HSPP expenses.
• Accurately processing and reporting on large volumes of data associated with the HSSP and HSPP.
• Working with the various supporting Plan vendors to assist in audits, studies, and compliance activities.
• Completing quarterly data materials for HSPP and HSSP committee meetings.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree with a major in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related degree, -OR- an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1 year of related experience.
• Must be a highly motivated, compliance-focused team member who thrives while working on a results-oriented team.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (e.g. Outlook, Word, Access, PowerPoint).
• Ability to process large volumes of transactions to meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work with customers as well as internal/external agencies.
Desired Qualifications
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft financial applications, QuickBooks, and Crystal Reporting or similar programs and applications desired but not required for consideration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to document work processes in an easy-to-understand format.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to query and understand large volumes of data.
• Knowledge of ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations.
Compensation & Benefits
Grade 14: $71,200 - $8+,800
Grade 15: $78,338 - $+8,813
Grade 16: $86,138 - $105,513
