Job Description
We are Indian-Canadian JV oilfield services company currently setting up our new plant in Ahmedabad, Gujrat.
We are looking for an Accountant to manage all financial transactions from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. Accountant's responsibilities will include preparing financial reports, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns. To be successful in this role should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes, will provide accurate quantitative information on financial position and cash flows of the business, while ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Your profile:
Managing day-to-day book-keeping to maintain accurate, complete and timely information to achieve overall department objective.
Prepare/review monthly direct and indirect tax accruals (CIT, WHT, VAT, GST and sales tax, etc.), streamline process for month-end close.
Coordinating with Canada & Oman office on reporting
Preparing and posting journal entries accurately to balance sheets
Preparing accounts and tax returns and monitoring spending and budgets
Ensuring that financial statements and records comply with laws and tax regulations
Liaising with auditors and substantiating financial transactions by auditing documents
Preparing timely bank payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements
Logging daily entries in accordance with accounting policies
Checking expenses and preparing monthly account reconciliations
Examining invoices for accurate allocation of payments
Computing figures to determine balance, differences, adjustments, reviewing and totals to reconcile all transactions at the end of each day
Managing the company’s petty cash operations through proper inspection and payments of bills, receipts and cash count
Fluency in English
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree
Proven experience 3 – 5 years in accounts – preferred in Cross-border
Knowledge of Quickbooks
Strong knowledge of book keeping & accounting principles
Attention to detail & confidentiality
