What will you be doing?
As a Accountant, you will communicate with various internal departments as well as external stakeholders. This position is critical to the delivery of financial information on a timely basis. Candidates must possess strong organization and analytical skills in a position that is very detail oriented. Responsibilities include:
Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
Assisting in the preparation of income statement reporting and analysis.
Taking ownership of and completing monthly accounting entries in areas such as government funding prepaids, accruals, payroll, revenue, and fixed assets.
Supporting with government funding applications, analysis and reconciliations
Preparing and maintaining financial records and working papers in support of transactions.
Monitoring banking activities for multiple entities to find irregularities and process appropriate journal entries.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
4 year degree in accounting or finance
Working on or pursuing a CPA designation an asset
3+ years of experience working in an accounting role
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Products
Experience working with ERP software, knowledge of NetSuite is an asset
