JOB TITLE:
Accountant
SUMMARY:
Gateway International, a renowned study abroad consultancy firm, is seeking an Accountant to join our team at our headquarters in Udaipur. As an integral member of our finance department, the Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, conducting financial analysis, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis.
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and adherence to budgetary guidelines.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
Assist with internal and external audits as needed.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information and exercise discretion in handling sensitive data.
Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.
SKILLS:
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in financial software, such as MS Excel.
Ability to analyze financial data and generate accurate reports.
Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy in financial record-keeping.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Desired Skills:
Prior experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the education industry.
Familiarity with international accounting standards and regulations.
Experience with financial analysis and reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2-3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
