We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work efficiently and accurately.
Responsibilities
• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll records.
• Perform reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable and receivable, and other financial records.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
• Assist with budget preparation and monitoring.
• Prepare and submit tax returns, financial reports, and other regulatory filings.
• Assist in the development and implementation of financial systems and controls.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide financial information and support as needed.
• Conduct periodic audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.
• Master's degree in Commerce (M.Com) or related field is preferred.
• Proven experience working as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
• Proficiency in financial software and spreadsheets.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of relevant tax regulations and reporting requirements.
