Company Overview: CRW Engineering Group, Inc. is a growing 40-year-plus, full-service multidiscipline engineering and surveying firm, with offices in Anchorage and Palmer. Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and organized Accountant/Bookkeeper to process vendor invoices, reconcile client billings, and other accounting related duties. The position is a permanent, full-time position located in our mid-town Anchorage office under the direction of our Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities:
• Maintaining records according to generally accepted accounting principles including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and general ledger.
• Record cash receipts and bank deposits.
• Upload credit card payments into the accounting system.
• Prepare client invoices according to contract requirements.
• Assemble information and assist with external audits.
• Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.
• Process accounts payable.
• Send out past due statements to clients.
• Complete the 10++s.
• Process expense reports and employee reimbursements.
• Input or update projects and proposals as necessary in the accounting system.
• Participate in activities needed to support the management functions of the team.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Self-starter who takes ownership of duties and position.
• Ability to work efficiently, independently, and with little supervision.
• Ability to organize and prioritize effectively.
• Attention to detail and exceptional level of accuracy.
• Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint accounting software desired but not required.
Education and Experience:
• Associate’s degree in accounting, business administration, or equivalent business experience.
• Two or more years of accounting experience.
