Established design and sales organization looking for a software savvy accountant/controller with a minimum of 5 years experience
This role will work closely with senior leadership on all aspects of financial management, including budgeting and strategy
Functions include preparing financial statements, implementing accounting processes and procedures, expense management, journal entries, payroll and reconciliations
Will also manage relationships with third-party accountants for sales and corporate tax. Lead in the month-end, and year-end closing process. Monitor and control financial transactions, profitability and effectively analyze
Ideal candidate must be versatile enough to handle simple day-to day accounting activities all the way to reporting and analysis
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field a must
5+ years of experience in accounting and financial reporting
Knowledge and experience in US-GAAP
Fluency in accounting systems, and systems implementation
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Software knowledge – Quickbooks, Excel mastery, experience with ERP systems
CPA a plus, but not required

Key Responsibilities:
Manage cash flow, accounts payable, receivables, and payroll
Create and manage budgets to ensure financial goals are met
Tracking expenses and ensuring proper allocation of costs
Ensure compliance and that accounting standards are maintained
Collaborate closely with managers to align financial and operational objectives
Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard financial assets
Compensation range is approximate and will be based on a candidate's skills & experience
Position is hybrid with 3-4 days/week in-person at Manhattan office

Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
