Construction Project Accounting Assistant
Tokio Marine HCC – Surety Group, a member of the Tokio Marine Group of Companies, has an opportunity for a skilled Project Accounting Assistant at our home office in Los Angeles, CA.

We are looking for a Project Accounting Assistant to join our highly skilled team to work with construction bond customers.
Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the Project Accounting Assistant are to handle accounting functions and fund disbursements for construction industry customers.
Performance Objectives and Timeline
• During the first 30 days: Learn about surety bonds, the funds control process and terminology.
• During the first 3 months: Effectively analyze and set up accounts. Review documents and complete draws on funds. Prepare payment recommendations for checks to be disbursed.
• During the first 6 months and beyond: With a customer service mindset, effectively handle multiple accounts with some more complex than others.
Qualifications
• Accounting experience
• Facility with using multiple systems, programs, and tracking information
• Success characteristics:
• Customer service mindset – consistently courteous with external and internal customers
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Self-accountable for your own work
• Willing to help others on the team
For candidates working in person or remotely in Los Angeles, the reasonable pay range for this specific position is $22.26 to $30.56 per hour. The salary offered for this specific position is based on a number of legitimate, non-discriminatory factors set by the Company.
