Position: Sr. Associate / Analyst – Accounting Assistant

Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate/Analyst to join our Resource Group Team at our Hyderabad office. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Finance function. This position will report to Deputy Manager
The Associate/Analyst is responsible for:
General Ledger Accounting,
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting, Strong attention to details and accuracy
Perform Month end close/Quarter Close and Year end close activities for EMEA
Posting of Journals/Accruals, revenue entries and necessary adjustment entries.
Preparation of P&L Trend and Balance Sheet Flux Analysis and GP Analysis
Preparation of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations using Blackline, with timely follow-up on all open items.
Ensure adherence to internal controls policies and procedures related to financial statements and consolidation
Performing month-end intercompany journal entries and recharge entries, Coding of Invoices in SAP
Provide information or assist internal audits by completing internal controls and providing necessary documentation during financial audits.
Have good exposure to communicating well with local controllers
Collaboration with external auditors by supplying requested data/files and addressing audit queries during review calls.
Education/Experience:
B. Com Graduate
3-5 years of overall Experience
Working knowledge of SAP/Oracle
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Well-organized and reliable
Key Interactions:
Internal: All employees and Visitors
External: Controllers
Travel: Occasional (<10%)
