Advantage Resourcing is hiring for Accounting Clerk in New Iberia, LA, where you will play a key role in supporting the accounting department through a variety of financial tasks. Pay Rate: $18.00/hr
Shift: First | Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Essential Job Details:
• Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Record and reconcile daily transactions in accounting software.
• Process vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and distribute payment checks or electronic transfers.
• Generate and follow up on customer invoices and payments.
• Assist in credit control, collections, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reports and assist with budget and forecast preparation.
• Provide administrative support to the accounting team, including filing and document management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and data protection standards.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma required; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Familiarity with accounting principles and software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
