Job Summary
Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking detail-oriented and highly organized accounting professionals for remote work-from-home opportunities. Key Responsibilities
• Process and record daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and tax returns.
• Reconcile accounts to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Assist in budget preparation and forecast financial performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and implement best practices.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Provide general administrative support to the finance department as needed.
• Communicate effectively with clients to clarify any discrepancies or questions regarding financial matters.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in accounting or financial management, ideally in a remote setting.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience
• At least 2-3 years of experience in an accounting or finance-related role.
• Prior experience in remote accounting positions is preferred but not required.
• Experience with cloud-based accounting software or tools is a plus.
• Previous experience managing payroll, taxes, and other accounting-related functions is a bonus.
Working Hours
