Accounting Manager
Sun Valley, CA Office
Reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer: NJ
Company Overview:
Dazian LLC is a 183-year-old Textile company that is the premium supplier of Specialty
Fabrics, Custom-Manufactured products, and Rental Drapery for the Entertainment
Industry. We are a national company operating out of three facilities in LA, NJ, and FL.
Dazian’s leadership in creating innovative products, superior quality standards, and
personalized service defines the industry standard.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the Accounting Department, including credit checking and
approval, billing, and collections of past due accounts.
Quarterly review with Operations Management to ensure company margin metrics are
accurate and Departments are achieving their annual Profit Plans.
Review monthly financial statements and prepare schedules for the Assistant Controller.
Provide Asset Base Lender with daily & monthly Sales & Accounts receivable balances.
Coordinate and lead external CPA annual audits and Asset Base Lender Field Exams,
providing necessary documentation and support to external auditors.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and
internal controls.
Review the annual and monthly operations data for accuracy and work with Operations
staff to explain budget variances.
Review Manufacturing and Rental software data with Department Managers and make
corrections where necessary
File Monthly Sales Tax Report Filings.
Provide monthly sales commission reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 5-10 years’ experience with a Product,
Manufacturing, and/or Rental Company
Experience in Cost accounting is mandatory
A strong Systems Background
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, and Microsoft Excel;
familiarity with financial reporting tools is a plus.)
Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to meet tight
deadlines.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage a team and interact
with capital owners
Must become involved in the day-to-day business of each Department to understand
customer requirements, transactions, reporting protocols, and individual responsibilities.
Must become a support resource for Department managers as well as a reporter of
numbers
