Job Duties (Including But Not Limited To)
General bookkeeping/accounting duties
• Uses UWorld accounting systems for daily accounting responsibilities - GL/AP/AR
• Prepare financial reports for various departments and answer questions related to the general ledger
• Perform account analysis, prepare account reconciliations, statements, and reports
• Plans, coordinates, and resolves accounting matters with other department members
• Review the books of accounts for timely creation, proper classification, and reconciliation
• Complete daily transaction processing and month-end close procedures
• Managing, supervising, and reviewing other accountants and clerk's work
Payroll & Taxes
• Review payroll to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner
• Work on tax-related issues (Payroll Taxes, Sales Taxes, etc.)
• Prepare and file monthly Payroll and Sales taxes
Compliance & Reporting
• Provides detailed analysis of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions with the ability to interpret, streamline and format large amounts of financial data in an organized manner
• Ensure compliance, perform risk assessment, and conduct internal audits, as well as support the external auditor
• Compile data and documents required to prepare audit statements, tax returns, and financial statements
Minimum Education Required
• Qualified Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant license are preferred
Minimum Experience Required
• 10+ years of overall experience covering staff accountant, senior staff accountant, and accounting manager
Required Skills
• Knowledge of accounting principles (i.e., GAAP), practices, and procedures on manual and automated systems.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and monthly variance analysis reports
• Must have proficiency using Accounting Systems like NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks
• Demonstrated judgment and decision-making ability Effective problem-solving skills and acute attention to detail
• Excellent PC skills, including word processing and spreadsheets. Ability
