Responsibilities
• Manage and oversee all aspects of the accounting department including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accountants.
• Coordinate and complete annual audits.
• Manage monthly and quarterly financial close processes.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Implement and monitor the company’s financial systems, using ERP - Microsoft Plains.
• Collaborate with other department managers to support overall company goals and objectives.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Advanced degree or professional certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
• Proficient in ERP systems
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proven leadership skills with an ability to supervise and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
