We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager in Greenwood Village, Colorado. This role is crucial within the construction industry, where you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing accounts, and implementing efficient accounting processes.
Responsibilities
• Oversee and manage daily accounting operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functions.
• Handle general ledger entries and accruals to maintain accurate records.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivables, ensuring all financial obligations are met and payments are collected.
• Manage the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up to date.
• Oversee payroll operations, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with the project management team, assisting with billing matters as needed.
• Utilize accounting software systems and enterprise resource planning tools to streamline accounting functions.
• Apply knowledge of job cost accounting and construction accounting to provide accurate job cost reports.
• Manage one direct report, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Work closely with the HR team to ensure all financial and employee records are accurate and compliant.
Requirements
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential.
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is required.
• Knowledge of various accounting functions is crucial.
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is needed.
• Ability to manage Billing Functions efficiently.
• Proficiency in Job Cost management.
• Experience in Construction Accounting is desirable.
• Ability to handle Month End Close and Month-end Close Activities efficiently.
• Familiarity with Viewpoint Spectrum is a plus.
