Job Details
The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing financial control and accounting activities including general and cost accounting, payables/receivables, variance analysis and mitigation actions.
Role And Essential Functions
• Manage an accounting department of four, reporting to the division CFO
• Oversee accounts payment, accounts receivable and cash flow
• Make credit decisions for high risk, new or growing customers
• Cost all product codes in SAP & determine if their cost is accurate
• Prepare and create the yearly budget for approval and submission to head quarters
• Prepare and review monthly financial closing and reporting
• Manage the annual capital investments, adjust items throughout the year to stay within budget
• Prepare the monthly average inventory calculation and inventory reserve calculation
• Monitor plant operations and results against operating plans and KPI’s
• Recommend and implement programs to improve efficiencies and to reduce cost
• Create and maintain assets in SAP
• Create and run monthly cost center distribution cycles
• Perform various analysis on an as needed/requested basis
• Maintain various reports on a monthly/quarterly/yearly basis
Qualifications And Education Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience is required for this position
• Personnel management experience is preferred
• Manufacturing experience is preferred
• Italian language skill desirable
• SAP experience highly preffered
