Job Title: Accounting Manager - Manufacturing
Location: Onsite (100%)
Job Description:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join their team in a hands-on, challenging environment. This is a 100% onsite role that is expected to last nine months. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing setting as well as a significant amount of general experience within accounting or finance.
Main Responsibilities:
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
• Manage the overall financial operations including budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Assist in daily cash flow management
• Engage in month-end and year-end close process which is a 6-day process
• Oversee routine Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Prepare journal entries, particularly inventory-specific
• Conduct daily and weekly cycle counts
• Oversee the management of an inventory of ~500 SKUs, that are manufactured, sent to another plant, and subsequently brought back in.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
• Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Minimum of three years in a manufacturing setting
• Detailed knowledge of manufacturing, inventory, cycle counts and the processing of scrap
• Proficiency in using an ERP system like Visual/Infor
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
• Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Advanced knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting and financial reporting
