Accounting Specialist

CW Title and Escrow stands as the largest title and escrow company headquartered in Washington. We provide exceptional title services for King, Pierce, Snohomish, Thurston, Spokane, Chelan, Douglas and Whatcom counties and we work with our affiliates to service title needs in other counties. In addition, we offer escrow services for all counties in the State of Washington. We are currently looking for an Accounting Specialist with experience in basic accounting functions with a focus on banking transactions. Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable experience is a plus.

Hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 – 5:00, working in the office at our Bellevue headquarters.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Process outgoing wires, verifying accuracy of all information in a timely and accurate manner

· Process incoming wires into the escrow software and e-mail receipts to escrow as appropriate

· Assist the escrow team with voiding checks, stop payments, troubleshooting wires, receipting-in checks, etc.

· Assist with answering calls from the escrow or title teams within CW

· Other tasks as assigned that may involve entries into QuickBooks and/or Excel, posting journal entries, reconciling bank or other accounts, or daily reconciliations of wires

· Potentially would be backup for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Notaries or credit card processing

Requirements

· Experience with basic accounting tasks

· Outgoing wire processing experience helpful

· Experience with QuickBooks

· Must have strong attention to detail

· Must have fast and accurate data entry skills

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and manage wire deadlines effectively

· Ability to organize and prioritize large quantities of daily e-mails are a must for success

· Must be a team player and communicate with other team members

· Solid written and verbal communication skills

· Must maintain confidentiality at all times

Salary range

· Hourly rate range of $24/hr - $27/hr depending on experience
