Job brief:
We are looking for an experienced Manager to lead and manage our "Controller Services" service line. Under CS, we provide accounting, reporting, financial, and strategic services to portfolio companies of our private equity clients.
You will also contribute to the development of financial and operational strategy, KPIs, and the ongoing development along with monitoring of the financial performance of portfolio companies.
Responsibilities:
• Supervising all financial transactions, reporting and policies including budget& forecasting reports; conducting variance analysis to determine & implement corrective actions.
• Reviewing and keeping control of the timing of various client deliverables
• Project Management – responsible for managing projects end to end along with end deliverables.
• Reconcile client bank and loan accounts within established operating guidelines.
• Review and scrutiny of the Profit/ Loss account and Trial balance.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and ad hoc management accounts to meet strict deadlines as required.
• Leading a Team of 2-5 members.
• Act as fractional CFO and provide recommendations to the clients.
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
• Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of relevant prior experience.
• Proven experience at managing and supporting junior team members with client work and career progression.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Mindset of a Problem solver and Critical thinker.
• Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software, and databases, preferably QuickBooks, XERO and Sage.
