Job Position: Accounts Officer
Organization- Fair Trade Forum-India
Location: New Delhi
Fair Trade Forum-India (FTF-I) is the National Network for Fair Trade in India. It is a not-for-profit organization, registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860.
FTF-I works with more than 100 member organizations, to ensure a dignified income and overall development of artisans, farmers, workers in the unorganized sector. It also endeavours to develop the skills of marginalized youth to make them more employable so that they become capable of earning a decent livelihood.
Responsibilities and Duties
Maintenance of records related to bookkeeping, expenses, funds, and project – partnership ventures, that are at all times accurate, substantiated and up to date.
· Voucher entry in the tally as guided by Finance Manager and travel to partner’s office as and when required to monitor the accounts and records.
· Manage the bank accounts preparing bank reconciliation statement periodically as per practice.
· Maintenance of adequate financial reporting accordance with partner for FRA and Income Tax rules.
· Preparing financial reports as and when necessary and sending to the concern support agencies.
· Issue of staff and program related reimbursement in a timely manner and in accordance with guidelines set by the organization.
· Tracking of fund request against the utilization of funds over a period and highlight issues pertaining to variance.
· TDS calculation, remittance, and preparation of quarterly return.
· Maintenance of various records & present when required information.
· Assist the finance team for managing all aspects of the finance division.
· Any other additional task related to accounting and finance, of the organization as per need.
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
· Post graduate degree in commerce with minimum 4/5 years of experience in corporate or development sector.
· Strong ability to work as part of a team.
· Strong working knowledge of tally/Microsoft office platforms.
· Working knowledge of English
