We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Lead to join our team! This Accounts Receivable Lead role will oversee the AR team, ensuring accurate and timely reco. rding of all transactions. This individual should have a high attention to detail and the ability to be flexible.
Essential Duties:
• Internal billing between logistics division and stores including monitoring of load requests, invoicing customers and invoicing stores
• Oversee and support stores on Mechanic Liens, ensuring compliance and consistency throughout the organization
• Post customer payments to account, process credit overrides, monitor AR email
• Responsible for customer set ups, changes, and credit checks
• Work with stores and customers on collections of aged AR
• Supervise and mentor AR staff, ensuring professional development and accuracy in their work
• Resolve issues and continuously strive for process improvement within the AR department to optimize efficiency and accuracy
• Collaborate with the Controller to improve AR processes and policies, implement and maintain these policies and procedures
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve AR related issues
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally to internal and external customers
• Run finance charges on customer balances monthly
• Run and send customer statements monthly
• Recommend, establish, and maintain controls to provide safeguards
• Ability to take customer phone calls regarding statement inquiries and posting of credit card payments
• Monitor customer credit limits and issuing credit overrides within AR limit
• Assist with collection efforts on aged AR
• Support system maintenance and security
• Assist in new system software implementations
• Ability to work in a collaborative and professional environment
• Ability to adjust and be flexible to support special projects when they arise and are assigned
• Ability to deliver results accurately and on time
• Complete other duties as assigned and provide backup to cover absences and manage workload efforts
Qualifications:
• Based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at our Field Support Office
• 5+ years of experience in an AR role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Office, financial software, query tools and ERP systems
• High school diploma or equivalent requird
• Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
• Ability to meet physical demands and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform tasks in support of all job functions, such as sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling
