The role:
As an AD / SOE Engineer, you have a shared responsibility for the design of a new AD and SOE environment in accordance with customer requirements, the development of required design documentation, implementation of the design, and the maintenance of the system until customer handover.
This role also includes creation of workstation images, the development of image management and patching strategies, the implementing of a common authentication scheme across the environment and system hardening.
Day to day work includes:
Working as part of a small team
Working under limited supervision; self-direction through the development and maintenance of an ongoing work schedule.
Balancing competing work requirements; development of the product whilst maintaining design documentation and engaging/supporting other product teams.
The person:
Experience Designing and Implementing Active Directory environments including:
Multi-Forest Domain Trusts.
GPO policies, logging and Role Based Access Control.
Application Deployment and Whitelisting.
SOE Image creation, deployment and hardening.
Windows Updates and Patch Management.
Integration of applications and devices with AD based authentication, including LDAP, Kerberos, NPS etc.
Creation and deployment of internal Certificate Authority
Microsoft Certification or equivalent is desirable.
Experience in a Defence related industry is desirable.
Experience design and building IT environments incompliance with the Information Security Manual (ISM) is highly desirable.
