Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Activity Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will assist with planning and conducting daily group and one-on-one activities designed to engage and enrich the lives of our residents. Activities include games, arts & crafts, music, exercise, social events, and more.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with planning and facilitating daily group and individual activities such as games, arts & crafts, music sessions, exercise, and social events.
Encourage resident participation and foster a positive, inclusive environment.
Observe and report resident participation, mood, and any behavior changes to the appropriate staff.
Support residents in a respectful and compassionate manner, promoting their well-being and social engagement.
Help set up and clean up activity areas as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience or interest in working with seniors or individuals in a care setting preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to engage residents in a variety of activities with enthusiasm and patience.
Observant and able to report changes in resident behavior accurately.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work part-time hours.
Work Environment
This position is based in Atlanta, GA, 30310, and involves working in a community or care facility setting. The role requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting of activity materials.
