Roles and Responsibilities
• Develop and deliver comprehensive training modules on Additive Manufacturing, covering theoretical and practical aspects.
• Focus on real-life Industrial Applications and case studies so that Students can move into actual jobs smoothly and with confidence.
• Create and update training materials, course content, and curriculum to align with industry standards and technological advancements.
• Provide hands-on instruction on operating and maintaining 3D printers, as well as utilizing various Additive Manufacturing techniques and materials.
• Foster an interactive and engaging learning environment, encouraging student participation, problem-solving skills, and creativity.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and implement strategies for improvement.
• Stay current with the latest developments in Additive Manufacturing and incorporate emerging industry practices into the training.
• Collaborate with the curriculum development team to continually enhance and customize the Additive Manufacturing program to meet industry needs.
• Maintain a safe and organized training environment, ensuring proper use and maintenance of equipment and materials.
• Encourage students to participate in Additive Manufacturing-related projects and competitions.
• Contribute to institutional goals by participating in faculty meetings, professional development, and initiatives to enhance the learning experience.
Preferred candidate profile:
• B. Tech/B. E: Bachelor's degree in engineering with a minimum of 6-8 years experience, or M.Tech/M. E: Master's degree in engineering in automobile or mechanical with a minimum of 5 years
• Experience in metal additive manufacturing (SLM/DMLS/EBM).
• At least 4-5 years of experience in teaching/training.
• Analytically vital and problem-solving skills required.
• Autodesk Fusion 360, CAD/CAM, Solid Works, Siemens NX, n-topology
• Exposure, understanding, and implementation of DFAM principles.
• In-depth knowledge of various additive manufacturing technologies, including 3D printing, laser sintering, and stereolithography, and the ability to explain these concepts effectively.
• Ability to choose the right type of AM process, write programs for AM and write programs for AM.
• Knowledge of quality control and assurance procedures in additive manufacturing to ensure that parts meet specifications.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong teaching and training skills to effectively convey complex concepts and hands-on skills to learners.
