Position Summary

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Admin Support Officer in the Department of Respiratory Medicine at The Alfred, supporting our outpatient clinics. This Administrative role will focus on providing support to our outpatient clinics in the Department Respiratory Medicine at The Alfred. Duties include scheduling patient appointments, new referrals and clinic follow up, as well as supporting clinical staff with administrative tasks. Demonstrated experience in the outpatient clinic setting is required, as is strong organisational, customer service and computer skills. Excellence in written and oral communication skills, and a high level of attention to detail is also required.

Skills and Experience Required

Demonstrated computer proficiency including MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel (foundational)
Previous administration experience in a health setting (highly desirable)
Understanding and experience supporting MBS clinics in a similar setting (desirable)
Understanding of confidentiality and privacy legislation Knowledge of Cerner Programs (desirable)
