Administrative Assistant – Edmonton

We are currently accepting resumes for an Administrative Assistant to join the Benefits and Retirement Team. This is a full-time, temporary 12-month contract position in our Edmonton Member Centre.
Job Summary:
Successful applicant will join CLAC’s national retirement team call center to provide top quality service and support to members of the CLAC Pension Plan, Group RSP, Vacation Pay and myCLAC Support.
The call centre operates from 9am to 7pm EST Monday to Friday. This position filled in Edmonton, Alberta with hours of work being:
Edmonton
5 days per week 9-5 pm MT
Key Responsibilities:
Working alongside other retirement team members to provide service to plan members, employers, and CLAC staff on a variety of retirement plan related issues, primarily by phone but may include in-person service to walk-in traffic
May include assisting members with questions related to their CLAC Vacation Pay Trust account and myCLAC portal account
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Completion of secondary education
Up to 6 months related experience
Skills and Experience:
Pleasant and friendly telephone manner
Ability to function in a busy, challenging environment and to remain composed under pressure
Respect for confidentiality of member information
Ability to explain information and to respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with database work
Strong attention to detail is essential
Knowledge of retirement plans would be an asset
Ability to communicate with members in French would be an asset
Call Centre experience an asset
Reporting and Accountability:
This position reports directly to the Lead Retirement MemberCare Specialist.
Compensation:
The annual salary will range from $49,987 to $64,046.
