THE POSITION

The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is seeking a motivated and dedicated Administrative Officer 3 to join our team! In this position, you will be responsible for providing operational, administrative, and supervisory support to our State Park Region 4 team. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Administrative Officer 3, you will be responsible for a full range of management functions within State Park Region 4 in the Bureau of State Parks. Your position is responsible for the development and coordination of a regional administration program, focusing on personnel management, purchasing, contracting, and records management. You will also handle budget preparation; fiscal management; procurement of services; labor relations; and union contract administration; along with conducting training and evaluations in the field.
Your responsibilities will involve interpreting policies and procedures, providing guidance and training to staff, and reviewing and developing program policies and operating procedures. This position requires a comprehensive approach to ensure effective administration and support for the State Park Region, contributing to the overall success of the Bureau of State Parks.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Weekends, holidays, and all shifts as needed at 37.5 hours per week
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 5 days pay period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Perkasie.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
• One year as an Administrative Officer 2; or
• Four years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management of staff work in public or private organization, including experience in personnel management budgeting or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
