We are looking for an Advisor role in FAS who will perform and monitor the delivery of Group Services Finance processes and services from our delivery center in India and execute retained onshore activities.
What the role entails
This role is a mix of monitoring operations, people management, stakeholder management & vendor management, where the candidate will be closely working with an extended team and stakeholders on BAU tasks, projects and process improvements.
Reporting line: Senior Advisor - Intercompany
Scope: Your scope will include (but not limited to) below:
Contributing to the efficient and effective delivery of Finance processes and services.
Monitoring of offshore services delivered from India to ensure day to day Finance Services processing is performed in accordance with established SLAs and processes and with quality, which includes performing quality checks.
Performing critical financial activities retained on shore: Month end closing support, troubleshooting when offshore teams seek help, managing customer escalations, process standardization activities, filling the gaps between regional operations and offshore teams, etc.
Working on high intensity projects impacting wider organization through global service lines:
Intercompany end to end process, including interconnectivity with AR, Banking, AP teams.
Reconciliations and related SOX/RACM controls
Closing and Reporting
Gain knowledge on end-to-end finance processes supported by GS and act as an SME to identify gaps and drive improvements: Major focus on Intercompany, Accounts Receivable, General Accounting & Reconciliations
Contribute to immediate day-to-day issues containment and to their long-term resolution in coordination with the offshore team and in alignment with the FS operating model.
Liaise with stakeholders as necessary: offshore delivery centers, BUs, IT, Compliance, other functions etc...
Prepare/provide formal feedback to customers on escalated issues. Includes root cause analysis.
Educate BUs and other stakeholders with best practices.
Providing management with data and facts to prepare feedback around most important issues and customer feedback.
Participating in the implementation of global improvements as initiated by GS & BI (including standardization, automation, & resolution of process inefficiencies)
Closely monitoring the execution and executing appropriate controls across processes and on shore & offshore teams (including but not limited to SOX controls)
Effectively engage and handle all internal & external Audits and ensure no deficiency is observed.
Participate to transition and delivery of additional scope: new customers (i.e., Product Groups currently not customers) and new services.
Ensuring documentation (policies, procedures etc.) is appropriately maintained on offshore activities and onshore activities.
About yourself
We are looking for passionate candidates having:
Bachelor’s or master's degree in accountancy. Qualified accountant CPA or equivalent will be preferred.
Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a similar role working in global organization across geographies
Experience within and/or exposure to shared services (captive and outsourced) will be an asset.
At least 3-4 years of hands-on experience in SAP is must.
Strong subject matter expertise & knowledge of finance ERPs (SAP) and business processes (such as General Accounting, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Intercompany Accounting and Analytics) is must.
