Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver energetic and age-appropriate dance classes for children aged 4–11 in an after-school club setting.
Introduce a variety of dance styles (e.g., street, jazz, musical theatre, contemporary, or creative movement), depending on your expertise and the interests of the group.
Create a safe, inclusive, and fun environment that promotes creativity, confidence, and physical activity.
Manage group behaviour in a positive and respectful way, ensuring all children are engaged and supported.
Organise short routines or end-of-term showcases to build confidence and give children a sense of achievement (optional or depending on program).
Set up and pack away any equipment or music needed for each session.
Qualifications & Experience:
Experience teaching or working with children in a dance or movement setting (required).
Dance training or relevant qualifications (e.g., ISTD, RAD, IDTA, Acrobatic Arts, or equivalent) (preferred but not essential).
Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
Paediatric First Aid and safeguarding training (or willingness to complete).
Enhanced DBS check (or equivalent background check).
Positive, friendly, and professional attitude.
