Discovery PitStop is hiring an experienced After-School Teacher to join our growing program. This role is perfect for an educator who enjoys building strong connections with children and supporting them beyond the classroom in a structured, welcoming environment.
What You’ll Do
Lead engaging and age-appropriate after-school activities
Create a safe, calm, and positive learning environment
Support children’s academic, social, and emotional development
Walk with children to and from their nearby schools in an organized, safety-focused way
Manage daily routines, transitions, and group activities
Communicate clearly with families and team members
Maintain attendance and basic program records
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
Experience working with children in a school, daycare, or after-school setting
Strong classroom management and leadership skills
Reliable, organized, and professional
CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
Genuine enthusiasm for working with school-age children
