About the role
This role is responsible for supervising a high-performing telesales team focused on new and lapsed business acquisition. You’ll manage workflows, maintain strong pipeline coverage, and ensure sales activity is aligned to publication schedules and the broader Agri content calendar. You’ll act as the operational link between Commercial, Editorial and Sales Support, helping to ensure campaigns are executed smoothly, data is accurate, and revenue opportunities are maximised.
Key responsibilities include:
Supervising and coaching a telesales team to deliver outbound sales targets Managing workloads and pipeline coverage across Features and Special Publications
Monitoring CRM data quality and sales activity to maintain strong reporting integrity
Coordinating with Editorial and Sales Support to align sales activity to planned content
Running regular performance and WIP meetings, including win/loss analysis
Supporting continuous improvement in sales processes and operational efficiency
About you
You’re a hands-on sales leader who enjoys balancing people leadership with commercial execution.
You’re comfortable working with data, holding teams accountable, and improving how work gets done.
You’ll bring:
Proven experience leading or supervising a telesales or inside sales team
Strong phone-based sales experience with a focus on new business growth
Confidence coaching performance and maintaining clear sales discipline
Experience using CRM and sales systems to manage pipelines and reporting
Strong communication skills and the ability to work across multiple teams
Media, advertising or publishing experience (highly regarded)
Knowledge of agricultural or regional markets (desirable, not essential)
