In this role, you will:
This role will support the Onshore HR CAO function for achieving the set goals and work collaboratively within the Group HR Control Room.

The key purpose of this role is to understand the HR function cost base, operational metrics, to be able to conceptualize, design, analyse, establish reports and present to HR Function Lead.

Impact on the Business/Function

• Gather MI and data from various sources across HSBC:
- HR systems
- Finance systems
- Procurement data
- Manual reports
- Feedbacks
- Current performance against SLAs/Goals

• This knowledge will enable the incumbent to compute the monthly forecast and annual budget

• MI/KPI's to report said project management and efficiencies achieved

• Deliver against reporting requirements

• Prepare monthly financial report and flag concerns

• Help manage operational risk requirements

• Prepare resource management reports across HR verticals to identify best practices

• Engage with extended team for designing and discussions

Customers / Stakeholders

• Develop connections with and local country HR team's

• Collaborate with the Regional teams as required, provide top down guidance on as applicable

• Understand country priorities of the given HR vertical / region plan and work with local country teams to develop operational readiness

• Build a strong network with the other colleagues, share best practice, consider efficiencies and improvements to processes

Operational Effectiveness & Control

• Support relevant governance forums to execute consistent and risk compliant practices across the function

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory policies and supporting external audits as appropriate

• Report against relevant metrics as required

• Ensure project requirements are input into the overall demand planning process

• Schedule of standard reports and MI

Typical Targets and Measures

• Correct HR spend reporting

• Coordinate responses from functional and local management for MI, data or commentary

• Knowledge of market Risk, operational Risk; Continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and adhere to internal controls, procedures and policies

• Relevant and clear reporting provided for relevant governance bodies, clients and stakeholders

• Successfully report purchasing KPI's for HR vertical

• The needs from the different stakeholders appropriately balanced and prioritised to deliver the right outputs for the function and the bank

• Support with any data requirements for papers/meetings

• Evident improvement in KPI's

• Regular dialogue/meetings with key stakeholders

• Improve efficiency in reporting & MI through automation/macros - ensure they are published timely

• Compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and HSBC policy

• Robust measures defined and implemented to track the effectiveness of and processes

• Support the region HR teams to ensure that all audit issues are closed by the due date
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

Required skillset

• An Accounting degree, bachelor's degree or other qualifications relevant to the industry. MBA, CA, CWA, CS, CPA, CFA a plus.

• Be number savvy and have the appetite in handling and processing mass volume of data

• Strongly analytical and logical mindset with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other query tools (Microsoft Office Access)

• Independent and Confident, able to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks

• Excellent time management and timely delivery of regulatory reporting information.

• Leadership skills, with ability to build rapport with internal & external customers / Business areas

• Must have excellent attention to detail and work within tight deadlines ensuring a complete and accurate flow of information's between stakeholders.

• Must be experienced in working under pressure on multiple process improvement projects

• Ability to make robust decisions justifiable in an international environment

• Awareness of Project environments

Additional Information

• All applicants must have successfully completed their probation period.

• Employees must meet performance and behavioral standards as defined in the policy.

• All L6 applicants should have served at least 12 months in same role and & L7 at least 24 months and should have successfully completed respective learning curve tenure, in their current role as on closing date.

• Applicant should not be on a corrective action plan/ disciplinary action in the last 6 months or any other performance action as on the date of application.
