About the Role
This short-term position has been created to support the implementation of climate change adaptation and mitigation programs. As a Senior Project Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of these initiatives, working closely with stakeholders across the health sector.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the development and implementation of climate change adaptation and mitigation programs
• Support health services in the implementation of existing climate change and sustainability policies and programs
• Identify opportunities for improvement and provide recommendations to senior management
• Review relevant Victorian Government policy and identify linkages and impacts to the health portfolio
Requirements
• Tertiary qualification in environmental science, engineering or related field (highly regarded)
• Practical understanding of Victorian and Commonwealth climate change and environmental legislation and policy (essential)
• Demonstrated experience in writing clear and concise communication material (essential)
• Health sector experience (highly regarded)
• Experience in Victorian cabinet processes and briefings (desirable)
