Our CPA Program:
Our rotation-based CPA Program offers candidates the unique opportunity to work in multiple diverse businesses over a three-year term. Approved by CPA Ontario, the program is designed to help candidates obtain their CPA designation, while giving give candidates broad business exposure and the opportunity to progressively build technical skills and develop business knowledge under the mentorship of experienced accounting professionals.
During this program, you will:
Work and communicate with people across all levels of the organization, while expanding your business network
Perform amongst a variety of teams and develop new skillsets and sources of knowledge
Learn and grow as you demonstrate leadership and make connections across our group of companies
Receive mentorship from experienced and recent CPA graduates
Receive CPA exam training through one of Canada’s leading training firms
Rotations:
Over a 3-year period, our CPA Candidates are exposed to three different rotations, all of which contribute to professional development, business knowledge, and the practical work experience required for becoming a CPA. Over the course of these 3-years, each CPA Candidate will work in at least two of our Company’s diverse businesses, including:
George Weston Limited
Loblaw Companies Limited
President’s Choice Financial
Choice Properties REIT
Holt Renfrew
While rotating through our businesses, the CPA Candidates will have the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of professional departments, which can include (but are not limited to):
Financial Reporting
Treasury
Financial Planning & Analysis
Internal Controls
Risk Advisory
Tax
Rotation details related to the specific business, functional area, location, and rotation order will be determined based on both candidate interest and business need.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this program, you must meet the following requirements as of August 31, 2026:
The academic prerequisites (CPA PREP) for admission to the CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP)
A minimum overall average (75% or greater) in the courses comprising the academic prerequisites with a passing grade in each course
The ability to commence full-time employment in Canada
