Robert Half is seeking a Senior Cost Accounting Analyst for the western suburbs. This is a hybrid model. Paying up to $100K.
Responsibilities
• Oversee plant inventory valuation and ensure accuracy
• Assist in corporate accounting operations
• Analyze standard costs for efficient budgeting
• Execute internal controls and ensure compliance with industry standards
• Partner with plant operations, engineering, and purchasing teams to develop, review, and maintain standard costs
• Conduct regular reviews of inventory and accounting procedures to identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth operations and accurate inventory valuation
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance internal controls and compliance
• Handle any additional tasks related to inventory management and cost accounting as needed.

Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the plastics manufacturing industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
• Demonstrated ability in data analysis and interpretation
• Strong communication skills to effectively present data findings
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems
• Proven track record in meeting deadlines and working under pressure
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work output
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
