A&P Mechanic Job in Opa-locka FL
VP Aviation is hiring for an A&P Mechanics to support business jet maintenance operations at KOPF. This contract position offers the opportunity to transition into a direct role and is open to Entry-Level, Junior, and Senior A&P Mechanics.
Technicians with EMB 135/145 experience are preferred, but all qualified candidates for an A&P Mechanic job in Opa-locka FL are encouraged to apply.
A&P Mechanic Responsibilities
Perform aircraft maintenance in compliance with FAA regulations
Complete all required steps within the assigned maintenance work scope
Document maintenance discrepancies and corrective actions accurately
Communicate parts, material, workmanship, or airworthiness concerns to the Lead Mechanic
Provide detailed shift turnover reports including work progress and open items
Properly tag and store aircraft components, parts, and panels
Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
Supply and maintain required hand tools
Perform additional duties as assigned
A&P Mechanic Job Requirements
Valid and current Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
Working knowledge of FAA regulations, including those outlined by the
Federal Aviation Administration
Ability to read and interpret aircraft technical data
Effective written and verbal communication in English
Ability to work independently and within a maintenance team
Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds
Availability for domestic and international travel as required
