About The Company And Opportunity
• Our 6x repeat healthcare client in the heart of Baltimore is looking for a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist.
• Position is in-office to start and then would move to a hybrid (3 in, 2 out) work schedule after +0 days.
• Pay: $26-30 per hour
• This position is temporary, but for the right candidate can become permanent!

Overview Of The AP Specialist Role
• Process about ~500 invoices per month in a timely manner
• Provide answers to vendor inquiries
• Review all accounts payables invoices, with and without purchase orders, for accuracy in coding, tax accruals, signature approvals and appropriate backup documentation
• Review purchase journal for errors and make necessary corrections
• Prepare weekly check run and mail checks to ensure timely payment of bills
• Prepare and enter re-class/correction entries
• Monitor discounts to minimize lost discount opportunities
• Prepare 10++s for independent contractors
• Validate and process all requests for vendor changes including changes to address, vendor names, 10++ status
• Process transactions of the corporate credit card programs in an efficient manner
• Contact budget holders in order to get approval for invoices
• Correspond with vendors / employees and responds to inquiries
• Maintain disbursement files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
• Provide supporting information for internal and external auditors
Preferred Qualifications For The AP Specialist
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience required
• Healthcare industry experience a plus, but not required
• Experience using Oracle NetSuite a plus
• Company is going through an implementation to this system by end of 2026
• Proficient Excel skills required
