Job Description
Roles and responsibilities in a nutshell but not limited to:-
An Ideal candidate would:-
1. Create or visualize an idea and produce a design using computer-aided design (CAD)
2. Keep up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as general and new trends relating to fabrics, colours and shapes.
3. Plan and develop ranges, often based on a theme and create detailed tech packs from design, stitch to fit.
4. Understand design from a technical perspective, i.e. producing patterns and technical specifications for designs.
5. Share, adopt and maximise best practices, new methods, concepts and functional expertise between product groups.
6. Build a team and cross-functional relationships through effective email correspondence and meetings.
7. Oversee the project handovers and assist with the entirety of the projects assigned
Prerequisites
1. Prior experience in a startup or well-experienced in the discipline of work.
2. Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience; focused training in Technical Design, Product Management and Product Development.
3. Well-rounded experience in relevant category design experience and must be knowledgeable in working with wovens and knits.
4. Strong organizational skills and highly detail-oriented, creative by nature, should have the ability to come up with new and fresh ideas.
5. Approaches problem-solving with conceptual and out-of-the-box thinking.
6. Demonstrates high-level aesthetics and creative ability with a strong understanding of youth lifestyle.
7. Strong communication and articulation of ideas.
8. Ability to manage calendars and handle work independently with minimal supervision.
+. Strong computer skills: Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop), MS Office (Excel/Word/Outlook), and PLM software.
10. Able to fit in well within an informal startup environment and to provide hands-on management.
11. High energy level and untiring commitment to drive the team's goals.
12. Laptop / Desktop with minimum 8GB RAM & Internet Connectivity.
