Our design team in the USA is seeking an experienced Apparel Designer based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, who is well-versed in block printing, local embroidery techniques, and the nuances of working with local vendors and manufacturers. Job Description:
We are looking for a talented and knowledgeable Apparel Designer who has extensive experience with block printing and local embroidery. The ideal candidate will be a key player in transforming our design concepts into physical samples, working closely with Jaipur-based manufacturers and local artisans. You will collaborate with our Design Director based in the USA, executing detailed design ideas and maintaining regular communication to ensure alignment and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Execution:
Transform design concepts and instructions from the Design Director into tangible apparel samples, utilizing block printing and local embroidery techniques.
Vendor & Artisan Coordination:
Work closely with local vendors, embroiderers, and manufacturers to source materials, oversee production, and ensure high-quality output.
Sample Development:
Oversee the development of physical samples, ensuring that they meet design specifications and quality standards.
Reporting:
Provide weekly status updates to the Design Director in the USA, including progress reports, challenges, and any recommendations for adjustments.
Quality Control:
Maintain rigorous quality control throughout the sample development process to ensure that the final products align with the design vision.
Qualifications:
Degree or Diploma from reputed fashion college or equivalent.
Proficiency in design software and tools relevant to apparel design.
Must be well conversant in english language.
