We’re expanding! Our company is launching a new apparel division to better serve our valued customers. This exciting addition allows us to enhance our offerings, providing high-quality apparel while maintaining the exceptional service and standards our customers trust.
As a Technical Designer for Apparel, you will support the launch of a new apparel division by executing innovative technical designs under the direction of design leadership. This person will develop fit, construction, and material specifications that align with the division’s creative vision and quality standards. They will apply expertise in garment construction, pattern-making, and market trends to contribute to the division’s success and competitiveness.
Responsibilities:
• Design women’s apparel, including tops, bottoms, dresses in sleepwear/loungewear
• Maintain line sheets, fabric/sample racks, and cutting ticket logs.
• Organize design materials, manage packages, and update spreadsheets.
• Create full Tech Packs, specifying stitching, hems, seams, trims, and accessories.
• Adjust apparel patterns, fabrics, and trims, and troubleshoot issues with overseas vendors.
• Perform design edits in Photoshop and request updates from pattern makers.
• Conduct comp shopping to stay informed on market trends.
• Manage workload effectively, meeting deadlines with urgency and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
• Technical Design, Garment Construction, Fitting, and Pattern Making skills
• Strong attention to detail and precision
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field
• 3+ years of experience in fashion design in the apparel industry
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per year
