• Laboratory work and Formulations Development :
Understanding of competitive technologies, ability to identify alternatives to existing competitive grades
• Independently plan and execute laboratory work in support of customer requests, new product launches, quality complaints and assessment of competitive materials as assigned.
• Create the instructions/guidelines with the response on main customers technical questions and issues.
• Maintain and promote a safe laboratory environment in accordance with applicable quality.
• Lead the Technical Support and Service to our customers in the region for supporting our business growth and strategy executions.
• Lead the Application Development work with solid data by interaction with our customers in the region.
2. NPIs/NPCs work Support of new introductions including development of formulations and the creation of technical literature :
• Supply creative input into the design of new products that provide added value in the market. This should include the definition of clear technical targets and value proposition.
• Lead the Introductions of Momentive RMS New Products and Solutions to our Key Customers in the region with value propositions.
• Field Marketer and Strategy Developer – Collect the Mega trends, un-met needs from the market and customers, bringing them back to business team on the New Products Development, resource and Capex investment.
3. Support to Marketing, Sales and Technology Work closely with marketing, sales, technology, and other teams to identify new business opportunities to drive growth for the business :
• Activate participation in the calls and meetings, providing valuable feedbacks on Momentive colleagues requests
• Share the information regarding the local markets update, customers success stories, new benefits and performance of Momentive or competitive products.
• Provide support to ADE team members searching for the information to respond customers issues. Pro-active marketing activities Be an active participant of exhibitions/seminars/other events and represent MPM in public platforms when needed.
• Help with organization and samples preparation for those activities. Good understanding of Market trends and the ability to use this knowledge while talking with external and internal customers in exhibitions/seminars/trade shows.
• Become the region frontline market intelligence, competitive landscape – mixed with global team and cross regions for formulating the global picture of market size, trends, and competitive analysis.
Additional Details:
• 5-8 years in polyurethane industry
• B.S. or equivalent in chemistry, chemical engineering or similar
• Technical understanding of polyurethane chemistry
• Customer interaction Experience in the desired industry/segment in Application Development and/or Product Development and/or technical service role.
• Familiarity with the use and application of common raw materials used in desired industry.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills Can independently perform or coordinate any required analytical testing, interpret results, and draw conclusions for review with scientists and engineers.
• Demonstrate ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously Experience working in cross-functional team environment with strong customer focus
• Problem solving skills
• Willing to travel
• Proficiency in Microsoft office
• Ability to lead projects
• Experience in polyurethane formulation development
• Masters or PhD. in chemistry or polymers
• Strong business acumen
