Job Title: Application Operations Automation Engineer
Experience: 5+ Years
Location: Kochi (Hybrid)
Shift: IST Shift
Contract Duration: 6+ Months
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Application Operations Automation Engineer to join our Service Operations division. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth daily operation of the systems and services that support our client's products. You will collaborate with your team to resolve issues, improve service reliability, and drive automation across operational tasks.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor and ensure completion of daily operational tasks, taking corrective actions where necessary.
• Perform patching and system upgrades in alignment with compliance standards including PCI DSS, ISO27001, and Cyber Essentials+.
• Action service requests, incidents, problems, and changes via the ServiceNow platform.
• Investigate system alerts and health changes triggered by monitoring tools.
• Develop and maintain support documentation including wikis and knowledge base articles to improve incident response and resolution times.
• Identify manual tasks and contribute to automation initiatives within the team.
• Participate in the onboarding of new services to the operations environment.
• Complete mandatory training and maintain necessary certifications.
• Participate in an on-call support rotation for out-of-hours issues.
Required Qualifications and Experience
• 5+ years in an IT service delivery or support role.
• Degree in Information Technology, Information Security, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Proven experience with Microsoft technologies.
• Strong communication skills, particularly in service-oriented environments.
• Ability to analyze fault descriptions and deliver effective resolutions.
• Self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks independently.
• Experience in the EdTech domain is a plus.
Technical Skills Required
• Advanced automation scripting with Terraform and PowerShell.
• Familiarity with Bicep and Ansible is advantageous.
• Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft SQL Server and data backup solutions.
• Competence in Windows Server and desktop configuration.
• Administration and configuration of Microsoft IIS web services.
• Strong scripting and automation background.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure Analytics and KQL.
