Work with diverse team of stakeholders to deploy cutting edge application security tools and infrastructure enabling Application Security in their mission of protecting the Bank and its customers from external threats. Contributes to the overall success of the Cloud Security Engineering team with a global focus on code control, and pipeline security, supporting the achievement of the Bank’s information security objectives of integrity, confidentiality/privacy, availability, and continuity. The incumbent is responsible for supporting and upholding the Bank’s application change control standards.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
Working from requirements, collaborate with Application Security Stakeholders, assist in design, development, and implementing solutions supporting application security at the bank.
Collaborate in a team environment spanning multiple geographies to implement and support project tasks.
Define best practices, author detailed design and implementation documentation to support Day 2 operations team, end users, and define best-practices in using products implemented by the project team.
Develop and support tools and integrations that connect new products into existing technology stacks and processes
Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
At least three years of experience in deploying and managing security or enterprise solutions in a large-scale environment
Strong knowledge of application security concepts, best practices, and tools.
Capable of producing and refining solution architecture documentation that accurately reflects the implemented solution.
Proficient in system administration, scripting languages, such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash, and automation tools, such as Ansible, Terraform, or Jenkins
Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience in working with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and their security features and services.
Certifications in security, such as CISSP, CEH, or OSCP, are a plus.
Excellent organization, time management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Fluent in English, Spanish an asset
